School Overview

The mission of Christ Church School is to build and maintain a child's positive self-image and an eager attitude to learn in a Christian environment.

Since 1957, Christ Church School has been a Christian symbol to children who live in our community and attend our school. We represent values and morals that cannot be presented anywhere other than the church environment. We have established many traditions and our school continues to grow to accommodate our changing society. Through positive feedback and individualized attention, our children are afforded the opportunity to learn in a warm, supportive environment. While success and growth are of great importance, a child's positive self-image and eager attitude to learn are our ultimate goals. Working with the church as an outreach program to the community we are able to provide the best foundation possible for our children.

This program is designed to be challenging and to excel in preparing each child with the necessary skills and achievement levels required for entry into and success at the kindergarten level and beyond. Every child will be involved in a program of play; learning and group activities geared towards the social, emotional, spiritual, physical, intellectual and individual growth of a young child.

Creating and maintaining a Christian environment requires a consistent blend of lessons, experiences and living examples. Lesson plans used in each of the classrooms typically include stories, songs, learning activities, physical activities, computer training, games and hands-on activities involving the principles and values of Christian living. Chapel, Bible stories and activities are offered each week. Prayer is taught at snack time and meal time daily in our classrooms.

All children from infancy through kindergarten are welcome at Christ Church School. Our school day begins at 8:50 and ends at 11:50 am. You may choose our After-12 Program that provides an afternoon of fun and structure or our Early Bird Program which allows your child's day to begin at 8. Physical education, music and computer classes are a part of the morning program. Age appropriate computer software is used in conjunction with our curriculum. Enrichment Classes include art, cooking and fitness to enhance your child's self-confidence.

As an educational institution, the Christ Church School maintains full compliance with the Commonwealth of Kentucky's requirements for kindergarten curricula and teacher certification.

Six Weeks Old through Pre-Kindergarten: 8:50-11:50 am
Kindergarten: 8:50 am - 2 pm
Early Bird Program: Starts at 8 am
After-12 Program: 12-2 pm, 12-5 pm, 2-5 pm

Other Notes

We have a staff of 47 experienced teachers with a maximum ratio of 1 adult to every 3 to 8 children. We are licensed and accredited by the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
