“For we are what He has made us, created in Christ Jesus for good works,

which God prepared beforehand to be our way of life.”

Ephesians 2:10

Effective lay leadership begins with an intimate relationship with God, resulting in Christ-like character and a clear sense of God's calling for your life. As spiritual maturity increases, effective leaders respond to God's call and seek to realize their full potential in Christ. They work together to accomplish God's vision.

Serve the Lord with gladness! Our vision for Christ Church United Methodist is for all members to be in ministry, serving the Lord by doing what they love based on their spiritual gifts and interests. You have been gifted with spiritual gifts, talents, resources, individuality, dreams and experiences that combine in a unique fashion to equip you for service to God.

Discover your gifts then give them away. Set aside some time this year to attend one of the By Faith We Serve workshops. Although these workshops are currently scheduled, workshop leaders can accommodate special requests for workshop dates and times convenient for your small group or Sunday school class. Call the Lay Ministry Coordinator’s office to register for a scheduled workshop or to make plans for your group. Material will be provided to you prior to the workshop. For more information or to sign-up for a workshop, contact Patty Groot, Director of Servant Ministries, at 893-2201 x251.
