Leigh Ray

Administrative Assistant to the Senior Pastor

Leigh's main responsibility is providing administrative support to the Senior Pastor. She takes care of scheduling weddings and baptisms. She keeps the pastors informed about hospital visits so if you or someone in your family is hospitalized, please let her know. You can also call her to make an appointment with or to leave a message for Dr. Strunk.

Leigh joined the Christ Church staff on May 1, 2003 and she and her family have been church members since September, 1994.

She was born in Evansville, Indiana and raised at The Methodist Temple. Leigh has a B.A. from Indiana University, Bloomington. She worked for 20 years in administration at certified public accounting firms in Michigan, Florida, and Kentucky, and worked five years in administration at Wesley House Community Services in downtown Louisville.

Leigh has been married to Mark Ray since 1993. Her son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Kathleen Gookin, live and work in Louisville, KY, as does her daughter, Lesley.

Leigh has volunteered to help with Christ Church confirmation class since 1995 and also enjoys local, national and international mission trips. Her hobbies include reading, hiking, and biking.
