John Hill

Minister for Evangelism and Young Adults

Rev. John Hill and his wife Nancy Speas Hill, who is the new Lay Ministry Coordinator at Christ Church, come to us from Atlanta, Georgia, where they both attended the Candler School of Theology at Emory University. While in Atlanta, John worked at Northside United Methodist Church in high school youth ministry and evangelism. John grew up in Ashland, Kentucky, where he was very active at South Ashland United Methodist Church and on the conference level as a youth. He went to college in Virginia at the University of Richmond, where he majored in religion with minors in philosophy and leadership studies. While at college, John started a ministry called Rho Iota for young men and women who were members of fraternities and sororities. He also worked for five summers at Aldersgate Camp, one of our United Methodist camping and retreat centers outside Irvine, Kentucky. His parents, Fred and Dana, live in Findlay, Ohio, while his younger sister, Jennifer, is a peace corps volunteer in Tanzania, Africa. John is thrilled to be at Christ Christ serving as Minister for Evangelism and Young Adults. He is excited to work with the prayer ministry, to minister to and with young adults, and to see how God will move as we share the love of Jesus Christ with one another.
