Dan Stokes

Director of Music Ministries

As Director of Music Ministries Dan’s main objective is to invest the musical talents of the congregation for the glory of God and the encouragement of the body of Christ and to proclaim the Good News of Hope in Christ through music.

Dan has been at Christ Church since 1989 having previously served nine years at Belmont UMC in Nashville, Tennessee and three years at the Shared Ministry in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

He is a preacher’s kid and one of five children who grew up close enough to Hershey to smell chocolate. Dan earned his way through college and graduate school loading manure bags and cutting pipe at the local hardware store.

His personal hobbies are jogging, bike riding, and playing very old pipe organs.
