Senior Adult Ministries
The people at Christ Church believe that Christians can be active and productive for their entire lives. There is wisdom and joy to be gained with each passing year. We provide fellowship, fun, spiritual growth and personal enrichment for seniors. Non-members and friends in the community who are interested in our programs are always welcome. The common thread throughout our senior adult programs is the abundance of Christ’s love that is shared.
We have lots of fun! Click here for more pictures.

Outreach Activities
In 2012, SAM is part of numerous outreach and mission activities including:
Christ Church Workshop
Did you know we have a sewing and quilting group that meets each Tuesday from 9:30 am to 2 pm in Room 154. Do you need a quilt finished, pants hemmed or simple alternations? All profits are distributed between the Kentucky Methodist Children's Homes, Portland Promise Center, Wesley Manor Retirement Community and the Open Door Ministry at Fourth Avenue United Methodist. Bring in your projects and meet us on Tuesdays. We always welcome new members, so come, bring a sandwich and join in the fun and fellowship. For more information contact lray@ccum.net.
Buddies
Are you interested in attending any of the Senior Adult Ministries functions coming up but are not sure exactly what to do, where to go, or wonder if you will know anyone there? We have the answer for you - a senior adult buddy! Please contact Leigh Ray at 893-2201, x222 or lray@ccum.net and she will have one of our team members get in touch with you to be your personal buddy for the meeting or function you wish to attend! Your buddy will meet you at the church the day of the function, answer any questions you may have, introduce you to other attendees and generally make sure you have a fantastic time! We have such a good time at senior adult activities, we want everyone to join in the fun! So decide which function you would like to attend and give Janet a call today! You Buddy is waiting - see you soon.
