Christ Church United Methodist's Job Transition
Ministry!
While the circumstances that may have brought you to
this place may be difficult, we are pleased to offer you services to
support you through this important life transition experience.
We believe that God has an important plan for our lives, and our mission
is to come to an understanding of God's role in our lives. Work is
an extension of God's purpose for us, and through this Ministry we want
to support you as you come to realize God's plan for your work life now.
Our Job Transition Ministry has many components, consisting of a variety
of cafeteria-style services that you can utilize as you have need of
them. These services include the following:
E Monthly
meetings with others in job transition
who can support you in your
job search, and
education and information about job search
strategies and job leads; E
A
library of books and resources on various aspects
of job search,
that can be checked out from our
regular church library. E
One-on-one
job search coaching and counseling
with Cathy Fyock and other HR
professionals;
E
Match
with a member of the congregation who
has interests/professional
connections in
your industry, market, or profession;
E
Attendance
at the By Faith We Serve vocation
workshops.
E
Linkage
to other free community resources,
workshops, and programs;
E
Connection
with other community-based and
Christ Church support services,
including
pastoral counseling with Dr. Jim Fleming
and our Stephen
Ministry.
