2002 Project House: 2721 Garland Avenue

06/07/02:

Insulation completed both inside and under decking. Vinyl siding about 80% complete. Special thanks to the crawlspace insulation team!

06/08/02:

Continued work on vinyl and began installing white metal. Ran out of siding so about 5% remains unfinished, mainly the front gable. White metal nearly completed. Had to rework some vinyl around rear doors & window to get it lined up properly.

06/14/02:

All vinyl siding and soffit completed. White metal completed. Installation of porch posts and railings begins. Hanging of drywall begins.

06/15/02:

Porch railings completed, except for painting the filler blocks where the rail attaches to the house. Ceiling drywall completed except for the bathrooms and closets. Drywall covers about 45% of walls.

06/21/02:

Gutters installed. Hanging of drywall continues.

06/22/02:

Drywall hanging completed. 3 downspouts installed on gutters.

06/28/02:

Painting day at Habitat warehouse: doors, trim pieces, etc. Fourth downspout hung on house and all drywall scrap removed from inside house. Bobcat dozer used to clear large concrete chunks from yard and fill holes/smooth yard.

06/29/02:

More painting at warehouse. Final downspout put in place.
