2003 Project House: 1715 Crop Street

"Roof Raising" Weekend

06/26/03:

First wall in place at 8:00am. Interior walls begun at 9:30am. Roof trusses begun about 2pm and completed by 3:50pm.

First wall placed - 8:00am Interior walls started by 9:30am Ziad & family Roof trusses started 2:00pm Rrrrrrrrrrrrrrriiiiiiiiiippp Final roof truss in place by 3:50 pm

06/27/03:

Our stack of OSB was missing about 50 sheets upon arrival Friday morning. Porch beams placed and small trusses added, rakes installed on gables, roof and side sheeting in place, and felt completed on roof by end of the day.

  

06/28/03:

Windows cut out and installed, weather-wrap completed, front door installed, rear patio forms adjusted and prepared, attic stairs & flooring completed. Ground blessing ceremony held at 11:30am with large crowd in attendance.
