An Overview

Credo (CREE-doh) is the curriculum being used with our Confirmation Students as well as an adult class meeting concurrently. It is divided into three parts, designed to help students explore, claim, and live their faith.

Part One:  Know Your Story

  • Creator God and God's Creation
  • Sin & Redemption
  • The Holy Spirit
  • The Church

Part Two: Confirm Your Faith

  • The Way of Salvation
  • The Way of Discipleship
  • Worship: Why do we do what we do?
  • The Sacraments
  • The Wesleyan Quadrilateral

Part Three: Live Your Commitment

  • The Confirmation Vows (Renounce, Reject, Repent, Accept & Confess)
  • The Body of Christ at Christ Church
  • Joining Christ Church: Prayers, Presence, Gifts, Service, Witness
  • The Sacraments
  • The Wesleyan Quadrilateral
During their time together, the confirmation students will learn and share in John Wesley's Rule, as a guide for their lives:

Do all the good you can,
By all the means you can,
In all the ways you can,
In all the places you can,
At all the times you can,
To all the people you can,
As long as ever you can.
