Sunday School Teacher

Sunday school teachers are the key to relationship building on Sunday mornings. The commitment to teach Sunday school is rewarding, fun and a less demanding task than you might imagine!

Teachers always lead in pairs, in accordance with Safe Sanctuaries policies. For each class of three year olds through fifth graders, we assign two teaching pairs. These two teams rotate teaching responsibilities from week to week. For a typical class, each team leads every other week, enabling teachers to attend adult classes on their off weeks.

Within teaching pairs, we recommend that each partner take turns planning the lesson as well. That means that each individual teacher would be responsible for lesson planning once every month.

All curriculum is provided, and church staff are available to give resources or answer questions during the week and on Sunday mornings. Teachers can access instructions, announcements and aids via a website which is updated each week.

If you have questions about this opportunity, contact Kim Minor, Sunday School Coordinator.
