Nursery & Childcare
ChildcareChildcare for six weeks to four years old is available in the children’s wing Sundays from 8 am – 12:15 pm and Wednesdays from 5:30 – 8:30 pm. Special activities, lessons, music and worship are included for children 18 months and older. Childcare is available by request for church-sponsored events and meetings outside these regular times. Under some circumstances, event organizers may be asked to pay a fee for childcare based on the number of children, meeting length and meeting frequency. Please contact Janet Hagerty to make arrangements two weeks before the event. Sunday school for 18 months & 2sWe believe that a child’s capacity to know God should be nurtured from the very beginning! On Sunday mornings, we offer Sunday school and worship for children 18-24 months in Room 116, a part of the nursery suite. This lesson is taken from the Heartshaper curriculum and includes music, stories, pictures and crafts and takes place during the 10:10 am Sunday school hour. Childcare activities are provided for this age group during worship service times as well. Sunday school and worship for two year olds takes place in Room 111 and is led by a combination of staff and volunteers. Our staff design and customize a curriculum for this age group and lead them in a variety of worship activities. The morning includes snacks, crafts, music and stories. Newborn MinistryNewborns bring joy to our church, and we want to welcome them along with you. If you are expecting a child or have recently had a child, please let us know so that we can include them in our newborn ministry. We can help with setting up a Care Calendar for meals and provide you with a new baby welcome bag. The nursery at Christ Church is led by Janet Hagerty, Childcare Supervisor, and a team of dedicated, experienced staff who love and value children. Our childcare staff have a combined total of 40 years of experience caring for children at Christ Church. They undergo regular training in CPR and childcare best practices, and they will always look for opportunities to make your child feel welcome and share with you about their experience while you are away in worship or small groups.
